This week, we are stripping away the filters and stepping into the heaviest, rawest chapter of my life. If you’ve ever felt like the weight of the entire world was resting solely on your shoulders while the sky remained completely silent, this episode is for you.
I’m opening up about the exhausting reality of watching a second parent battle cancer and navigating the brutal side effects of treatment. When trauma repeats itself, it forces you to face the questions no one wants to ask out loud: Why them? Why is this happening again? What is the actual purpose of this suffering?
I’m diving deep into the profound crisis of faith that comes when you are screaming, crying, and begging God for relief, only to feel met with total silence.
To make a heavy situation even heavier, I’m talking about the unique, isolating burden of being an only child. There is no sibling to split the hospital shifts with, no one to share the emotional or financial strain, and no one else who truly gets it. It’s just me.
This episode is a look at the bone-deep mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion of watching your parents age while having to become their caregiver completely alone. It’s messy, it’s angry, and it’s completely unfiltered.
If you are running on empty, questioning your faith, or drowning in caregiver burnout, pull up a chair. You are not as alone as you feel.
In this episode, we discuss:-The emotional whiplash of facing your second parent's cancer diagnosis.
-Questioning God’s plan and wrestling with a crisis of faith when prayers feel unanswered.
-The hidden reality of the only-child caregiver: Isolation, role reversal, and carrying the logistical weight alone.
Validating total mental, physical, and emotional burnout without the toxic positivity.

Is it just us, or is the "originality" tank running on empty? This week, Ashley is getting raw and real about the exhaustion of living in a world of constant TV reboots, movie remakes, and live-action "reimaginings" that nobody asked for.
But the fatigue doesn't stop at the box office. We’re diving deep into the AI takeover; from the way it’s thinning out our brain cells to the terrifying reality of physical jobs being handed over to algorithms. Then, we’re pivoting to the digital drama: Why has Mom-Tok gone silent on Taylor Frankie Paul during her darkest hour? We’re calling out the selective support in the influencer community.
Plus, we break down the Alex Cooper vs. Alix Earle power struggle and Ashley shares a vulnerable update on the soul-crushing weight of trying to "balance it all" when life feels like a circus. Grab a drink! we have a lot to bitch about.
Segment Breakdown:
The Recycling Bin: Why Hollywood’s obsession with reboots and live-actions is killing our creativity.
The AI Glitch: How "convenience" is replacing human workers and making us collectively dumber.
The Mom-Tok Silence: Analyzing the lack of public support for Taylor Frankie Paul.
The Battle of the Pods: Unpacking the tension between Alex Cooper and Alix Earle.
The Balancing Act: Ashley’s honest take on the struggle to manage life, work, and mental health.

Grab a glass of this week’s Drink of the Week—a Manhattan Special—because today, we’re heading to the city☕️🏙️
In this very special "Open Letter" episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on the man who started it all: my daddy. Two years ago we lost him, but today isn’t about dwelling on the grief—it’s about celebrating the absolute legend he was.
We’re taking a trip down memory lane, from those grainy 90s mornings commuting into New York City for Bring Your Daughter to Work Day, to the epic, sun-drenched pool parties that defined my childhood birthdays. We’re also talking about his iconic status as the Star PTA Dad—the only man brave enough to navigate a sea of PTA moms with his signature wit and dedication.
This is a story about the happy parts, the New York hustle, and the father who taught me how to be the person I am today. It’s funny, it’s nostalgic, and it’s a total tribute to my one-of-a-kind guy.
In this episode, we’re chatting about:
The NYC Hustle: What it was like being his "plus one" in the heart of the city.
Poolside Vibes: Why Joe was the undisputed king of the summer birthday bash.
The PTA Icon: Breaking down his legendary status at school meetings.
A Daughter’s Letter: A final, joyful word on the lessons and laughs he left behind.
Cheers to you, Daddy ❤️

Buckle up, because this week we are diving deep into the toxic cycle of Taylor Frankie Paul and the man who arguably executed the ultimate reality TV sabotage: Dakota Mortensen. We’re breaking down the calculated timeline of events that led to ABC pulling the plug on Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette. Was it a coincidence, or a strategic strike? We discuss:
•The Three-Year Vault: Why Dakota held onto that specific video for three years, only to leak it days before Taylor’s premiere.
•The "Stephen DeMarco" Energy: Comparing Dakota’s manipulation tactics to the infamous Tell Me Lies character and how the "nice guy" facade is used to keep someone trapped in a cycle.
•The Cost of Sabotage: How a chance at a fresh start and a career-defining opportunity was snatched away by a partner who couldn’t let go.
•The Aftermath: What happens when your personal life becomes a weapon used against your professional future. Grab your wine, hit the group chat, and let’s get into the mess. Can I bitch? Because this level of manipulation is next level.

Episode 5: The Porchcast

Saturday Mar 21, 2026

Saturday Mar 21, 2026

Grab a drink and pull up a chair—we’re taking the pod outside! For Episode 5, we are officially hosting our first "porch-cast" live from my screened-in sanctuary.
As the birds chirp in the background, we’re diving into the heavy reality of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
Why is it that the second the sun starts setting at 4:30 PM, our collective motivation—and will to live—completely hits the floor?
We’re breaking down:
* The Geography of Gloom: Why where you live on the map might be sabotaging your serotonin.
* The Hard Truths: Looking at the startling statistics of how many people are actually struggling in the shadows.
* The Spring Awakening: Why we suddenly feel like "real people" again the moment the first flower pops up.
* Crowdsourced Cures: I’m sharing your best tips from Instagram on how you guys reclaim your "spark" when the world goes grey. Whether you’re currently in a funk or just soaking up the vitamin D while it lasts, this episode is a reminder that you aren’t lazy—you might just be light-deprived. Let’s bitch about the winter blues and find a way back to the light.

Episode 4: The Great Escape

Thursday Mar 05, 2026

Thursday Mar 05, 2026

It’s been years since I packed a POD and watched my hometown disappear in the rearview mirror. At the time, I told everyone it was a "fresh start," but looking back? It was a chaotic, expensive, and emotional heist. In this episode, we’re stripping away the cinematic nostalgia of moving away and talking about the gritty reality of leaving the place that raised you. From the passive-aggressive "stay-at-home" guilt trips to the literal nightmare of selling your life on Facebook Marketplace, we’re covering it all. I’m reflecting on the version of myself I had to leave behind and why being a "nobody" in a new city was the most expensive (and necessary) lesson I ever learned. If you’ve ever felt like you were outgrowing your zip code but felt too paralyzed by the "what ifs" to move, this episode is your reality check. In this episode, we get into: The Small Town Ceiling: Recognizing the moment your hometown stopped being a foundation and started being a roof. The Social Friction: Dealing with the friends and family who took your departure personally. Starting at Zero: The hidden financial and emotional "tax" of moving to a city where no one knows your name. The Return Trip: What happens when you go back years later and realize the town didn't change, but you did. Can I bitch? Because the "Great Escape" wasn't a movie montage—it was a struggle, and it was the best decision I ever made. Put down the tissues, we’re picking up the lip liner. If you’ve been with me for the first two episodes, you know we’ve done some heavy lifting. We’ve waded through the wreckage of friendship breakups and sat in the quiet pain of infertility and loss. We’ve cried, we’ve vented, and we’ve honored the "Blow Up." But today? We’re coming up for air. In this episode of Can I Bitch, we are pivoting from the pain of the past to the power of the present. A "Glow Up" isn't just about a 10-step skincare routine or a new gym membership—it’s the internal renovation that happens when life forces you to rebuild from scratch. We’re talking about the "ugly" side of healing, the audacity of the sun for shining when you’re sad, and how to finally feel like the Main Character again. In this episode, we’re diving into: The "Ugly" Glow Up: Why healing sometimes looks like staying in your pajamas for 48 hours and forgetting to brush your hair. The “Small Wins": From hitting the block button to finally laughing until your stomach hurts—celebrating the micro-victories that prove you’re making it. The "Anti-Bucket List": A deep dive into all the things we are officially done with (looking at you, toxic positivity). Re-parenting Your "Inner Bitch": Shifting from "Defense Mode" to "Beast Mode." Stick around until the end for a round of Bitchy Affirmations—empowered mantras to help you protect your peace and remind you that you don’t have to be "fixed" to be glowing. Can I Bitch about your win? I want to hear your "Small Wins" from this week! Head over to Instagram and check out the Glow Up Checklist in my stories—screenshot it, check your boxes, and tag the pod so I can cheer you on.

“Everything happens for a reason.”
“At least you know you can get pregnant.”
“God needed another angel.”

If you’ve heard these phrases after a miscarriage and wanted to throw your phone across the room, this FaceTime is for you. Today, we’re breaking the silence on the "1 in 4," club that nobody ever asked to join. We’re talking about the clinical coldness of doctor’s offices, the betrayal of the Instagram algorithm, and the physical "postpartum without a prize," that no one prepares you for.

Grab a glass of our Wine of the Week (the "heartbreak grape," Pinot Noir) and pull up a chair. We’re venting about the grief, the unsolicited advice, and why it’s perfectly okay to not be "graceful," about your loss.

In this episode, we’re bitching about:
* The Toxic Positivity Trap: Why "at least" is the most offensive phrase in the English language
* The Medical Machine: Dealing with the dehumanizing language of "spontaneous abortions" and "products of conception."
* The Social Media Minefield: How to survive the targeted ads and the "perfect" pregnancy announcements while you’re bleeding and grieving.
* The Friendship Gap: Navigating the friends who show up vs. the ones who disappear when things get "heavy."

Wine of the Week: 🍷 Erath Resplendent Pinot Noir. Chosen because the Pinot Noir grape is sensitive, fragile, and often called the "heartbreak grape"—but it’s also proof that beauty can come from the most delicate circumstances.

Disclaimer: I am your best friend, not your doctor. This episode discusses pregnancy loss and medical trauma. Please take care of your heart while listening 🩷
